Look, I really didn’t want to make this page. Seeking employment isn’t exactly "fun", but I kept seeing viral muck about people not getting hired w/ companies often copy/pasting rejection letters with zero context.
Or worse, nothing. This helps no one.
So here I am. Trying a new approach.
When I wasn’t on the road, at least I could bring my dog to the office.
Now job hunting, here are some real questions I have been asked in interviews.
What types of projects have you managed?
Primarily Trade Shows focusing on sustainability, aluminum cans, and beverage machinery.
Budgets ranged from several thousands to just shy of $100K.
The duration of each project could range from one month to a year and a half, w/ teams of up to 25 participating.
What software have you used to track progress and resources?
I've primarily worked with MONDAY, Asana, Google Workspace, & Notion.
How do you keep stakeholders informed throughout a project?
With a thumbs up.👍 But more often, it involved monthly meeting updates, cross-department check-ins, and keeping a real-time, accurate task manager, as most of the team worked remotely.
How many projects have you maintained simultaneously?
Roughly 35.
How do you handle unruly or rude potential customers at an event?
Point in any direction and say "the bar is that way".
How do you feel about doing work beyond what's expected of you?
I'd rather not scrub a toilet.
If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?
Wile E. Coyote. He fails 99% of the time and still keeps going. Also, what?!
You remind me of my younger self, when I had a pro-tennis Brazillian lover. Sorry, where were we?
Thank you. I get that a lot.
You might have to yell at me if I start getting off-track with tasks. Professionally. Ok?
I've worked with family before. I get it.
Would you feel comfortable holding the keys to the business?
I feel comfortable holding keys, but I did find my car keys in the fridge one time.
